Q: [for some reasons] ringtones, even stock ringtones, won't play in settings and/or when i receive a call!

R: Logging on your iPhone with ssh (google about how-to) and type this command:
chown 0:wheel /Library/Ringtones

I will try to include this fix in the next release (2.75)

Q: How do I use the cutting part?

R: First, you have to choose the start time with the cursor. The 5 seconds after this position will be played as a preview to see if the start time corresponds to your request. If you don't want to listen to these 5 seconds. disable and re-enable the "Preview"-button.

After having choosen the end time, the 3 seconds before the end time will be played. Here you can also disable and re-enable the "Preview"-button to avoid the preview of 3 seconds.

Q: When I launch Ringtones! I get the message "Binary checking... ERROR!"

R: Try to reinstall the application. Make sure that you have the latest version of Ringtones!
You may be running out of space, try to relocate the path with BossTool.

Q: When I launch Ringtones! I get the message "Encoder checking... ERROR!"

R: Make sure that you have a wifi/edge connection when you launch the application for the first time. Ringtones! needs to get a binary for encoding purposes.

Q: When I launch Ringtones! I get the message "Ringtones path checking... ERROR!"

R: Ringtones! could not find the stock ringtones. You may have installed/used a tool which makes something unclear on the system.
Try BossTool and relocate the ringtones or restore your iPhone.

Q: Sannity checking show "/dev/disk0s1 0B Free", what is it ?

R: You running out of space! First, uninstall some applications/games and Ringtones application.
Next, use BossTool and relocate fonts, ringtones and applications.
Finally, refresh sources on your installer application, and reinstall Ringtones!

Q: When I want to install/update Ringtones! from the installer, I get an error message

R: Between the moment when you have refreshed the installer source
list and the moment when you have installed Ringtones!, a change has
taken place. Refresh your installer source list and try again.

Q: What is the difference between "Quick convert" and "Advanced" ?

R: "Quick convert" is the most simple for common users. In the "Advanced" mode, you can cut the song and apply fade in/out effect.

Q: Why can't I make a ringtone longer than 30 seconds ?

R: Yes in advanced mode you can convert full length (but don't abuse! :p)

Q: The converted ringtone does not work (no sound)

R: The convertion of songs with DRM (from the iTunes store) does not work. You have to use songs without DRM (protected).
Check the filename! it don't have to contain any strange chars, and dot (.) Try in advanced mode, you can specify filename (juste put aaa as filename for testing).
You can have this problem if you run out of storage space. Try to relocate the ringtones with BossTool.
